hello... :: blows dust off the page:: 

yes this page is a bit neglected..ok, a lot.! lets see..what can I tell you. Been busy working on new designs and topping up my Etsy shop. Have been listing a lot more on etsy recently as the listing and selling fee's are so much less than ebay. I still have my ebay shop but I am limiting the listings to about 15 at any one time. The next wildflowers is almost ready, its called wild strawberries and is missing one little strawberry button that I am waiting for that was missing from an order from the US..as soon as it arrives it will be ready to photograph. Half way through 'becoming jane'..inspired my Jane Austen. My all time favourite film has to be 'pride and prejudice', seen it so many times now I think I know the script. Well, who couldn't watch Matthew Macfadyen being Mr Darcy!  what else am I working on?...getting lots of bits together for a design I think is going to be called 'where the wild roses grow', that could change though. It will have lots of raspberry and cranberry reds, blacks and creams and using black chain and findings. May make another one of my  'Phantom of the opera inspired 'Masquerade' charm bracelets..another fav of mine..I love any costume based films or drama's..Watched the BBC's production of 'little dorrit' lord knows how many times now!...Mr Macfadyen again you see..made a great Arther Clennam as well as Darcy.

Something else I am really excited about is returning to college in september. I will be going to Liverpool City college to study a Btec professional diplome in theatre costume manangement. It is basically the same as a year 2 HND...theatre costume is something I have wanted to study now for a long time..since my days as a fashion student...so I am really looking forward to it

I have just heard back from the editor of 'bead' Magazine and 2 of my designs are going to be featured in the next 2 issues. In issue 4  june/july they will be featuring 'Monets Garden' ( that's the lilac/blue one) on the readers gallery page, and in issue 5 Aug/Sept they will be featuring 'Sweet summer berries', again on their readers gallery page. I am going to be submitting more designs soon for them to consider.

A note about the desings I  below, all except 'Gather ye rosebuds' are finished ( and now sold!) I am currently working on 3 or 4 new 'Ocean' themed bracelets, so they should be ready soon. Rosebuds is still on going but it is missing something so I am waiting for the right beads to come along to complete it. I am also working on a piece called 'Dream Catcher'

The book ' the beaders colour mixing directory' which feature's one of my designs is due to be published in march 2007. My bracelet was submitted to feature on a page called 'Stormy Seas', lots of greys and blue's and of course I had to include some thai silver fish/shells/seahorse charms. ( A theme that is a favorite of mine) In fact thinking about it I haven't done one for a while. Note to self- add stormy seas to design list! Speaking of my design list, If you want to know what is on the way then some designs in the pipeline are - 'Holywood dreams' 'handbags and gladrags''monets garden', 'dream catcher' ' poppy field? ( working title, may change!) 'chocolate heaven' ( again a working title that may change) got some gorgeous lampwork chocolates for it. I am also going to be making some wedding jewellery and tiaras, so watch this space.
